Three aspects of the thoracic spine need to be mobile to maximise your golf performance.
- The spine
- The rib cage
- The muscles and fascia
The warm-up drills shown below will show you a great way to target all three.
Potentially give these a go if you feel tight in the middle of your back when playing golf.

Take three slow deep breaths in each of the three body positions shown in the video below.
Ensure you are turning to the side of the front leg.
